HSBC Asset Management has appointed two former Amundi ETF sales heads Roland Fischer and Yves Berehouc to lead its Switzerland and Liechtenstein team.

Fischer (pictured) will head the ETF sales and indexing for Switzerland and Liechtenstein he formed alongside Berehouc and will report to Philip Knueppel, head of ETF and indexing sales in DACH at HSBC AM.

The pair were both covering Lyxor’s Switzerland clients prior to its acquisition by Amundi from Société Générale which completed in January this year.

Prior to joining HSBC AM, Fisher spent over 15 years at Société Générale including 11 years as head of Lyxor ETF Switzerland and Liechtenstein. He also spent over two years at Deutsche Bank in its institutional sales team.

Berehouc joins having spent over five years at Société Générale, starting as a sales and relationship management analyst for Germany, before covering the Swiss market.

Amundi’s €825m acquisition of Lyxor created the second-largest ETF business in Europe.

Fisher and Berehouc’s departures are the latest from Amundi’s sales team following the takeover including ETF sales analyst Cameron Williams who joined Tradeweb as vice president in equities sales and product management in July.
