Invesco has promoted Fabrizio Arusa to head of ETFs for Italy.

In his new role, Arusa (pictured) will be responsible for managing client relationships, strategy and business development with Invesco's partners including financial intermediaries, private banking, asset managers and institutional clients.

Arusa joined Invesco in 2017 after the firm acquired Source ETF, where he was director for southern Europe coverage since 2014.

Prior to this, Arusa worked for six years at BlackRock as an associate.

The firm also hired Edoardo Spitoni as junior ETF relationship manager to support the ETF commercial team.

Based in Italy, Spitoni joined Invesco from Lyxor Asset Management in Italy as sales support, where he held the role for just under two years.

Commenting on the appointment, Oliver Bilal, head of EMEA distribution at Invesco, said: “With the strengthening of the team dedicated to ETFs, it will help the company to better support our customers and respond to the ever-increasing needs both in terms of products and services."

Last December, Invesco expanded its sales team with the appointment of Joe Bello as UK head of ETF asset managers.

Shortly before, the firm saw its global ETFs head Anna Paglia depart to join State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) where she was named chief business officer and global head of ETFs.
