Sergio Trezzi, head of retail distribution, EMEA, at Invesco, has left after 20 years with the firm following a restructure of the business.

The changes will see Invesco move to a country-focused model with the head of retail distribution for EMEA role no longer existing.

Invesco said the reason for the change is to better align the firm’s sales teams with their clients.

Giuliano D’Acunti, who has been part of the sales team in Italy since 2002, has become head of Italy.

Invesco said in a statement: “We have completed our series of changes to the EMEA distribution teams.

“We have strengthened our in-country leadership to ensure a more relevant and responsive service for clients. As a result, a small number of colleagues will be leaving the business.”

Trezzi (pictured) joined Invesco in 1999 from Credit Agricole, where he headed-up Italy for 12 years until 2011 when he became co-head of European retail business.

In 2013, he was appointed head of retail distribution for Europe ex-UK before moving to head of retail sales across EMEA in March this year.
