ROBO Global hires former LGIM investment manager to head up business development

LGIM's thematic ETFs use all three of the ROBO Global indices available in Europe

Thematic index and research provider ROBO Global has hired Axel Belorde as head of business development for EMEA and Asia from Palantir.

Reporting to Richard Lightbound, CEO for EMEA and Asia, Belorde (pictured) will be responsible for building relationships with clients and promoting the company’s research, advisory and index services across the EMEA and Asia regions.

Belorde joins from Palantir Technologies, where he spent two years developing commercial partnerships as part of the company's business development team.

Previously, he worked in investment management roles at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) for four years.

Part of his focus was on the firm’s thematic ETF offering which utilise all three of the ROBO Global benchmarks available in Europe.

Prior to LGIM, Belorde spent two years as an associate at BlackRock and another two years as an analyst at Liongate Capital Management.
