The firms are selected based on environmental, social and governance ratings from MSCI ESG, and it only includes bonds with MSCI ESG ratings from the top 4 rating levels. The index explicitly excludes companies involved in industries such as alcohol, tobacco, gambling, civilian firearms, military weapons, nuclear power, adult entertainment and genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
