BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has appointed Jérémy Tubiana as head of ETF and index solutions development from Amundi.

Tubiana (pictured) will be responsible for strengthening the firm’s ETF and index fund franchise across French-speaking markets comprising France, Belgium, Monaco, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

Furthermore, he will be tasked with “consolidating commercial activity” with institutional clients and distributors.

Based in Paris, he will report to Lorraine Sereyjol-Garros, global head of ETF and index solutions development at BNPP AM.

Prior to joining, Tubiana was an ETF development manager at Lyxor, and then Amundi, for over six years where he was responsible for developing its offering with financial advisers, online banks and robo-advisers.

Before joining Lyxor, he was sales manager for French management company C&M Finances.

Tubiana’s latest move marks his return to BNPP AM, where he started his career as a commercial assistant in the investment bank.

Commenting, Sereyjol-Garros, said: “Jérémy will bring his vast experience to the team and accelerate our commercial capabilities in our key markets, where the attraction for ETFs and index funds has not ceased to develop in recent years.”

The appointment comes after the firm launched the BNP Paribas Easy ESG Eurozone Biodiversity Leaders PAB UCITS ETF in September.

Earlier this year, the firm went on a recruitment drive, appointing Olivier Laplénie as head of quantitative portfolio management after the former head of quantitative and index management Isabelle Bourcier left the business in March.

In April, the group made two hires within its sales team as it looks to expand its ETF business in Germany.
